I do not reprint the press list. I tell you what I would write. Beauty and function. Not fashionable schlock. The sheet is yours.
This window produced no ASTM ballot, no IBC or IECC text, no NFPA 285, no Miami-Dade NOA, no Title 24 envelope note, and no glass or silicone recall. A quiet two weeks in the codes is not a quiet wall. Below is what I would take from what did appear.
The frame is the wall
Vacuum insulating glass in a 1960s curtain wall is the fashionable save. It is not a save.
USGlass sat with Sarah Sinusas, PE, of Wiss, Janney, Elstner. A 22-story office: 6 mm monolithic clear, 1960s aluminum, no thermal break. Swap the lite for VIG and the assembly U-factor falls from 1.08 to 0.33. The room-side mullion temperature does not move. The expressed T-mullion is still a continuous thermal path. Only when they added interior polyamide and a covered, insulated U-channel did the assembly reach 0.17 and the frame warm up.
Center-of-glass is not the wall. I would model THERM on the actual mullion, not a catalog NFRC size. I would check the extra dead load on the existing anchors. I would treat the interior isolator as part of the thermal line, not a finish extra. Skip the frame and the wall is still a thermal short. That would not be my sheet.

STC is a hotel number
STC 35 on a freeway or airport curtain wall reads, to me, as a hotel partition.
FGIA republished AAMA TIR-A1, Acoustical Performance of Exterior Fenestration Products, on 10 August (last revised 2015). Outdoor noise is OITC. STC weights speech. OITC weights traffic and aircraft. The TIR is not ASTM E90 or E1332, and it is not a mockup. It is the document to drop on a design team that has the wrong letter on the elevation.
I would write OITC. I have not seen why speech-weighted STC belongs on a freeway.

NAFS is not a curtain wall
Window + Door spent 27 August explaining NAFS-26. Good. It is still not your wall.
NAFS is windows, doors, and skylights. The useful change: the secondary designator is now mandatory on US labels — tested +DP, −DP, and water-test pressure (air leakage stays optional). FEMA wanted those numbers visible after coastal water intrusion. NAFS-22 is in the 2024 IBC and IRC. NAFS-26 is proposed for 2027.
Curtain-wall air, water, and structural work still lives in AAMA 501 / 503 and ASTM E283 / E330 / E331. I would not write NAFS as the curtain-wall specification. I would write it, once it is in the code edition, for the punched openings that share the envelope. Mixed walls fail at the junction where someone used the wrong book.

Long span plus large missile is a system
Mobile International Airport’s VS1 wall is being sold as an award. The specifier fact is this: 28 ft 6 in verticals, no steel, no conventional horizontals, large-missile impact, ASTM E1886 / E1996 Wind Zone 4, mockup at 169 mph.
Omitting horizontals does not omit load. It moves spanning, deflection, and cassette design onto the verticals and the T-bracket. Hurricane glass is not a sticker you apply to a pretty span. I would ask for the tested assembly, the 169 mph report, and how a replacement panel is set without a factory sequence.

The coating cannot do geometry’s job
UT Dallas Engineering and Computer Science West is being sold as Solarban 70 at VLT 0.64 / SHGC 0.27. Those numbers are half a spec in North Texas.
SmithGroup ran the envelope by orientation: east, overhangs and a brise-soleil so the commons can stay open; west, less vision, limestone, electrochromic strips; north and south, shade portals of varying depth. High VLT with a polite SHGC still cooks a west lab if the glass is asked to do what a shade is for.
I would want the SHGC and VLT on the actual makeup, NFRC or project THERM as the energy code requires, and a control narrative for the electrochromic zones. A coating catalog would not write my elevations.

Shade the wall after the wall is up
205 North Quay, Brisbane. Conventional silicone-glazed curtain wall, 1.5 m module, color-neutral double glazing at VLT 0.62. Then copper-anodized aluminum ellipses, bolted to a fin at the IGU edge after the wall is in. The ovals cut solar transmission 63 percent versus the unshaded wall.
The transferable move for a US specifier is the sequence: curtain wall first, mechanically fixed shade second, coating against oxidation. External geometry can carry SHGC you would otherwise buy with a dark coating or a lower vision ratio. I would not buy gloomy glass because nobody designed a shade.

Pittsburgh, then go home
Facade Tectonics World Congress, Pittsburgh, 28 September–2 October. The papers that will leak into Q4 specs are acoustics in curtain wall and embodied carbon in the wall, not the hotel block. If you write specifications, that is the room. If you do not, skip it.

What did not happen
No ASTM, ICC, IECC, NFPA 285, Miami-Dade, or Title 24 envelope publication in the public record for 16–30 August 2026. NAFS-26 is June. AAMA TIR-A1 is 10–11 August. UK CWCT is still TU27, December 2025, and is not a US reference. I do not pad a thin window with press releases.
